How fees work
What you pay depends on how you pay. Each answer is here in plain words, and the front desk goes through yours before your first visit.
Insurance we work with
We bill many kinds of plans and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company, and the front desk checks your card.
Most PPO plans
Medicare
Medicaid
Workers' compensation
Auto injury coverage
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay for each visit on the day. We tell you the fee before you book, and we do not bill your plan.
Receipts for reimbursement
If your plan reimburses you for care outside its network, we give you an itemized receipt, called a superbill, to send in, and your plan may or may not reimburse you.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect care to cost and what it includes. If a bill comes in $400 or more above your estimate, you can dispute it.
Your rights under the No Surprises ActChecking your benefits
Our front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find, before your first visit. Your plan has the final say, and your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan.
What the first visit includes
Your first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist. They listen, examine you, explain what they find and agree on a plan with you. They also explain the risks and your choices.
Questions
Questions about paying
Do you tell me the fee before I come?
Yes. If you pay yourself, we give you a written estimate first. If you use insurance, the front desk checks your benefits and calls you.
Are there reduced-fee visits?
Ask the front desk. We hold a few reduced-fee spots and talk through them privately.
What if my plan does not cover physical therapy?
We can tell you what to expect before you book, and you can choose to pay yourself.
Want to know what you would pay?
Call the front desk with your plan card, or send a message, and we will check before you book.
